About us
How we got our first chinese crested dog
I fell in love with chinese cresteds as a breed at the National dog show in Koprivnica 2008., my hometown. When I first saw two chinese cresteds in person. They had a lot of spots with white coat and I just wanted to learn more about them. Mostly, I like them as they remind me on small horses and I love horses so much (but I can't have them) so we got a little horsey - chinese crested dog.
It was in Spetember 2010. when I asked one breeder from Croatia about puppies of this amazing breed. I fell in love with the breed at first sight. Small, happy, calm and playful - this is how I describe chinese crested dogs. Perfect companion for family and kids. When we met our "Topi" we knew that he will be our beloved family member and we didn't even dream about showing him on dog shows or registrating a kennel. Today, I am amazed with genetics in chinese cresteds and in every way this is a very special breed.
Often I got some really strange looks from people. One day when I was walking in my hometown one old lady was shouting that she would report me for shaving a dog like that, so many people are not informed about this breed, specialy in Croatia. I always try to find time to explain people about breed and I found many people who were amazed after I told them more and even interested in having one.
About me
My work with dogs started in 2007. with working breeds (rottweilers and german shepherd dogs) and I started to show dogs in March 2011. It all started with our "Topi" and on his breeders recommendation to show him as he had nice show potential. I entered The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb 2014.
I am lucky to have family who loves dogs and supports me in my work. All our dogs are firstly beloved pets and then show/breeding dogs. Main goal of my breeding is to keep health and happy and playful temper of this breed.
Kennel name
Inspired by Chinese culture and Japanese names and Japanese anime, I decided to use a tiger and a dragon. "Tora" is the tiger and "Dora" is the doragon (it is how Japanese read dragon). Also it is very cute anime with a romantic story.
